VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb says that the E3 2022 digital event is “a mess” and “probably also cancelled”
You may recall that, a couple of weeks ago, the ESA confirmed that “due to the ongoing health risks surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees, E3 will not be held in person in 2022″. You may also recall that the ESA didn’t confirm that a digital-only event was happening. Well, we may now know why that was the case.
VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb has uploaded a short video to his YouTube channel. In it, he talks about the E3 2022 news. According to Grubb, not only is the E3 2022 digital event “a mess”, but he says that, digitally, E3 2022 is “probably also cancelled”. If it does manage to happen, Grubb says that things will “limp” into it from other events, such as Summer Game Fest.
