The Crew 2 PS5 60 FPS Mode Arrives Alongside Season 6: Dominion Forsberg
The Crew 2 got its latest update today as Season 6: Dominion Forsberg begins, and its main feature was the addition of 60 FPS modes for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The upgrade offers two new visual modes, as well as fuzz and screen space shadow, weather changes, and color grading. Meanwhile, Season 6 adds new Motorsports Parks and events, vanity items, LIVE summits, and more.
The Crew 2 PS5 60 FPS mode upgrade details
The addition of 60 FPS to The Crew 2 on PS5 has produced two new graphics modes. Resolution mode offers 4K Dynamic resolution at 30 FPS, while Performance mode offers FullHD Dynamic resolution at 60 FPS. There’s also a new Fuzz feature (available on both PS5 and PS4) that improves the quality of the lighting on terrain like grass, branches, or small bushes in the distance. PS5 players get Screen Space Shadows (SSS) that improves the quality of shadows by using information from the player camera to identify if there’s anything between the light source and any given pixel.
Ivory Tower has also made improvements to the weather within the open world with balancing changes to offer more sunny weather opportunities and more time between weather changes. Visibility during snowy weather has been increased, while the snow effect on cars is now more realistic. Meanwhile, color grading has changed sky colors to something more life-like, improved contrast, and changed how the game produces fog.
