The Ascent PS5 PS4 Rated by ESRB
It’s only a matter of time before Neon Giant announces The Ascent for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Currently Xbox console-exclusive, the action role-playing game was previously rated for Sony’s platforms by Taiwan’s rating board and has now received a rating by the United States’ Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). Suffice to say, The Ascent PS5 and PS4 versions are all but confirmed.
The Ascent has now also been rated for PS5 and PS4 by the ESRB. https://t.co/98w1yEx4NF https://t.co/Ttzcntwe60 pic.twitter.com/uKGpOCl9a1

When will The Ascent release for PS5 and PS4?
In the absence of an official announcement, we can only speculate The Ascent‘s PlayStation release date but we’ll be surprised if it isn’t out by mid 2022. For starters, the game only needs to be ported over to the PS5 and PS4, and considering that it’s being rated around the world, it’s probably nearing release.
There’s also indication that The Ascent‘s PlayStation versions were already in the works last year. Back in October 2021, Neon Giant told a fan that it’s aware of demand among PlayStation fans and while it didn’t have anything to announce or confirm at the time, the developer asked followers to keep an eye out. Considering this, we don’t foresee a release date too far off into the future.
In other news, a former Bend Studio staffer has revealed that Sony declined pitches for an open-world Resistance game as well as Syphon Filter reboot. We also found out that Days Gone may not have sold as well as its director recently claimed.
