JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R PS5, PS4 Demo Release Date
The early access demo for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R has begun on PS5 and PS4, giving players access to two of the game’s six modes. While franchise fans will get to try out some of this game’s new mechanics, some may be disappointed to learn the game will not have rollback netcode.
What players will find in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R demo
The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R Demo is available now and will let players try out the online PvP mode and the Practice Mode where players can adjust the difficulty of the AI opponents they face. Four characters — Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, DIO, and Jolyne Cujoh — will be available in the demo and new features like hit stops, dashes, and new combos can be sampled before the game’s release, such as the four characters’ special “Stand” attacks and the new “Support Attack” tag-team system. While Bandai Namco didn’t specify whether cross-gen play will be available in the demo, the full game will allow PS5 and PS4 players to battle against one another.
The demo is available until June 22 and all progress will be reset for the game’s full release. Bandai Namco has clarified the demo will not include the coveted rollback netcode and neither will the full game. The team has no plans to implement the system either if that is a deal-breaker for you. If not, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R will feature a roster of 50 characters and six game modes when it is released on September 2.
In other news, Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios is reportedly making a fantasy roguelike game called Ravenbound: Tales of Avált alongside their Xbox exclusive Contraband. Elsewhere, Gun Interactive’s new asymmetrical multiplayer game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be coming to PS5 and PS4 next year as well as Xbox consoles.
