Horizon Forbidden West Goes Gold
Horizon Forbidden West has finally gone gold ahead of its release next month on February 18. As Guerrilla Games prepares to print and distribute the game across the world, they’ve decided to celebrate by showing off brief gameplay clips captured on a PS4 Pro.
Horizon Forbidden West Gameplay
Horizon Forbidden West will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, but Sony has chosen to show off footage captured on a PS4 Pro. The first clip, as uploaded by WTF Time, shows Aloy walking through the home of the Utaru tribe. Plainsong has been extremely affected by the red blight that’s wiping out their way of life. While they try to heal the land through the power of song, players can get a glimpse of what remains of their homeland, including massive settlements made out of woven material and built on top of Old World radar dishes.
The next clip shows Aloy taking on Clamberjaws. These creatures are new to Forbidden West and are usually found in large packs, but luckily for Aloy she encounters just two of them. These agile achines can leap large distances to move in and out of combat quickly, as well as unleashing fireballs to keep enemies at bay.
The final clip shows off an encounter with another new mechanical enemy: the Bristleback. The tusked machines don’t take kindly to Aloy’s presence as she leaves an Utaru settlement.
In other news, Ubisoft has confirmed they are closing down the servers for their battle royale title Hyper Scape. Elsewhere, gameplay has emerged from the canceled Star Wars 1313 showing Boba Fett as the game’s protagonist.
