Here’s every Microsoft IP after the company completes the acquisition of Activision Blizzard that will cost the company $68.7 billion dollars.
The tech giant has been on a shopping spree with the aim of conquering the world of video games. In recent years, Microsoft has bought some of the biggest video game companies. From Mojang to ZeniMax Media, Xbox Game Studios now have at least 20 first-party studios of 2022. With the latest acquisition, the giant will be consuming Activision Blizzard with all of its IPs, employees and studios. This will, of course, expand the list of titles that belong to the company.

The list includes games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Candy Crush Saga as well. Meaning that Microsoft is also getting its hands on the mobile market. Activision has been printing money with the Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision Blizzard, on the other hand, has nearly 10,000 employees around the world. The company also owns some of the best-selling IPs in the history of the video game business. From Diablo to Warcraft, the ‘money-printing’ games of ActiBlizz will be now owned by Xbox.
Back in 2021, Microsoft created a sub-company named Vault in order to merge with ZeniMax Media. This deal cost Microsoft $7 billion dollars but it also allowed its Xbox brand to offer some of the most successful titles on Xbox Game Pass. Alongside Fallout, The Elder Scrolls and Doom, many other games of the two companies are now in Microsoft’s catalog. Moreover, some of the most talented video game studios also belong to the company.
It means that it did not only buy best-selling titles, but it also bought a wide pool of talent and experience. This also applies to the seismic gaming deal of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
Which Games Will Become Xbox Exclusive?
Currently, we do not know which games will be exclusive to Xbox consoles. In a recent interview Phil Spencer stated the following:
“I am just going to the players playing some of the Activision Blizzard games on PlayStation. We are not intending to pull all the games and communities away from Sony’s platform. We remain committed to this.”
The Head of Microsoft Gaming believes that exclusivity is counter to what gaming is all about. While all of the games above will definitely have a different future in Microsoft’s hands, we can say that PlayStation players should not have to worry at this point.
