Google ‘The Last of Us’ for a Cool Easter Egg
Google has a pretty cool The Last of Us Easter Egg hiding in plain sight. Looking up the title is all you need to do. We’re not sure if the Easter Egg is available worldwide or not but can confirm it works when searching The Last of Us via Google’s U.S. website. Still can’t see it or don’t want to bother? Read on to find out what it is.
Google’s The Last of Us Easter Egg explained
When users search for The Last of Us, an icon with a mushroom appears at the bottom of the page. Clicking on the mushroom repeatedly will result in what looks like fungal growth taking over the browser screen. Here’s what your screen will look like:
There doesn’t seem to be any end to this fungal growth and I frankly don’t have the patience to click indefinitely, but if you want to try it, feel free to let us know what happens if you keep clicking for a while.
Google also offers a way to spread the growth on social media. Clicking the ‘share’ button for Twitter or Facebook will post a direct link to search results for the now super popular The Last of Us TV series, complete with three mushroom emojis.
Have fun!
