Final Fantasy 14 Update 6.11a Patch Notes, Automatic Logouts Removed

Final Fantasy 14 Newfound Adventure Patch 6.11a has been released today, making changes to the battle system in PvP and Crystalline Conflict. One of the more prominent main changes, though, was the removal of automatic logouts for players who had been inactive for 30 minutes in all areas.

Final Fantasy 14 patch 6.11a was released today, May 24. The update was only a small one to sort out gameplay issues and bugs arising from the introduction of Newfound Adventure last month, although the most notable change suggests server congestion may finally be beginning to ease. Automatic logouts for players who had been inactive for more than 30 minutes were implemented as a result of server congestion causing long queues for players unable to enter the game. The removal of the mandatory logouts suggests progress is being made in this area, although there is likely some way to go. You can see the full patch notes for today’s update below.

Battle System

PVP

The following adjustments have been made to PvP actions:

* The balance changes made to PvP actions are based on the usage and win rate of each job. Further adjustments requiring changes to action functionality will be made in Patch 6.15.

  • Gunbreaker
    • Rough Divide – Increased damage and healing potency of the additional effect No Mercy has been changed from 10% to 20%.
    • Relentless Rush – The additional effect “reduces damage taken by 25%” has been added.
  • Bard
    • Powerful Shot – Base potency has been increased from 3,000 to 4,000.
    • Empyreal Arrow – Potency has been increased from 3,000 to 4,000.
  • Machinist
    • Drill – Potency has been increased from 9,000 to 10,000. Potency when under the effect of Analysis has been increased from 18,000 to 20,000.
    • Bioblaster – Damage over time effect duration has been increased from 9 to 12 seconds.
    • Chain Saw – Potency has been increased from 10,000 to 12,000.
  • Dancer
    • Honing Dance – The additional effect “reduces damage taken by 20%” has been added.
    • Fan Dance – Potency has been increased from 4,000 to 5,000.
  • Black Mage
    • Fire – Astral Fire II effect duration has been increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
    • Blizzard – Umbral Ice II effect duration has been increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
    • Burst – Potency has been increased from 12,000 to 16,000. Barrier potency has been increased from 12,000 to 16,000.
    • Paradox – Now a charged action with a maximum of 2 charges.
    • Night Wing – Half-asleep effect now also reduces movement speed by 50%. Half-asleep effect duration has been reduced from 4 to 3 seconds. Sleep effect duration has been reduced from 4 to 3 seconds.
    • Fire IV – Cast time has been reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds. Astral Fire III effect duration has been increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
    • Flare – Cast time has been reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds. Damage dealt to primary target has been increased from 8,000 to 12,000.
    • Blizzard IV – Cast time has been reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds. Umbral Ice III effect duration has been increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
    • Freeze – Cast time has been reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds. Damage dealt to primary target has been increased from 8,000 to 12,000.
    • Soul Resonance – Now grants Apocatastasis, reducing damage taken by 20% with a duration of 15 seconds.
  • Summoner
    • Slipstream – Potency has been increased from 6,000 to 8,000. Windstorm potency has been increased from 3,000 to 4,000.
    • Radiant Aegis – Damage reduction has been increased from 10% to 20%. Barrier potency has been increased from 8,000 to 10,000.
    • Mountain Buster – Potency has been increased from 2,000 to 4,000.
    • Revelation – Potency has been increased from 3,000 to 6,000.
  • Red Mage
    • Corps-a-corps – Damage reduction has been changed from 20% to 10%.
  • Astrologian
    • Aspected Benefic – Base cure potency has been increased from 4,000 to 5,000. Maximum cure potency has been reduced from 12,000 to 10,000. * The help text in Patch 6.11 was erroneous, listing a base potency of 4,000 and maximum potency of 8,000.

Crystalline Conflict

  • When registering for a match in Crystalline Conflict, players in the Crystal tier can now be matched with players who are Diamond 3 (with 1 Rising Star) or higher. *The matching system will be adjusted further in future updates.

System

  • Players will no longer be logged out automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity. * This applies to all areas including the Firmament.

Resolved Issues

  • The following issues have been addressed.
    • An issue when playing as paladin in PvE wherein the potency of Holy Spirit and Holy Circle did not increase when the player had one stack of Requiescat.
    • An issue wherein the description of the warrior PvP action Primal Scream failed to note the potency of Primal Rend and Chaotic Cyclone is increased while under the effect of Inner Release.
      * This is an issue only in the description. The action functions as intended.
    • An issue when playing as gunbreaker in PvP wherein the description of certain actions after executing Continuation while under the effect of Junction Healer failed to note the range of its healing effect is 15 yalms.
      * This is an issue only in the descriptions. The actions function as intended.
    • An issue wherein the description of the ninja PvP action Three Mudra failed to note the action changes to Meisui while under the effect of Three Mudra.
      * This is an issue only in the description. The action functions as intended.
    • An issue wherein attempting to execute the bard PvE action Wanderer’s Minuet multiple times in quick succession prevented players from queueing another action for execution.
    • An issue wherein the barrier potency listed in the description of the machinist PvP action Bishop Autoturret was incorrect.
      * This is an issue only in the description. The action functions as intended.
    • An issue wherein the description of the gunbreaker PvP action Terminal Trigger, the dancer PvP action Honing Dance, and the machinist PvP action Wildfire failed to note their attack radius is 5 yalms.
      * This is an issue only in the descriptions. The actions function as intended.
    • An issue in PvP wherein the additional effect of the redmage action Displacement erroneously increased the healing potency of the limit break Southern Cross.
    • Other minor text issues have also been addressed.
  • Other various issues have also been addressed.

In other news, Hogwarts Legacy will utilize many of the PS5 console’s exclusive features, including DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Elsewhere, Sony has been criticized for selling a PS5 bundle including Horizon Forbidden West that only offers a saving of $20.
