Fan Makes Gran Turismo 7 Credit Farming Script
A player has created a credit exploit for Gran Turismo 7 in response to the highly unpopular nerf that was introduced via the game’s last update. As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, PSNProfiles user Septomor posted the Windows script, which utilizes PlayStation’s Remote Play feature and allows players to complete the same race over and over again without having to lift a finger, farming millions of credits while AFK.
Why Gran Turismo 7 credit farming has become popular
Polyphony Digital has received quite a lot of backlash for what players have said is an unnecessary grind designed to promote microtransactions in Gran Turismo 7. When players found a loophole in the game to farm credits, the developer quickly plugged it, arguing that it wants to avoid “a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again” and that it’s important for car prices to be “linked with the real world prices.” However, players are put off by the degree of grind required to obtain some of the cars and have now found another workaround to fight the nerf. Skimming the PSNProfiles thread in question, it’s evident that a lot of players are utilizing the script and are unhappy with Polyphony Digital’s stance on the matter.
Worth noting that this isn’t the only issue with Gran Turismo 7 right now. The game is being panned on Metacritic after struggling to stay online. At the time of this writing, the game is unplayable on the PS5 yet again because the latest system software update has borked PS Plus and PSN on the hardware. We’re monitoring the situation and will update our readers when there are any developments.
