Dragon Age 4 Player Choices Matter
BioWare has confirmed they’re actively working on the next iteration of Dragon Age. BioWare’s General Manager Gary McKay confirmed Dragon Age 4 will be a “single-player experience that is built on choices that matter” and that their worlds of adventure will make players feel like a hero.
The type of game Dragon Age 4 will be
Dragon Age 4 will be a single-player game where player choices will make a difference to their experience. In a letter to fans explaining the state of developer BioWare and their road ahead, McKay says the team is dedicated to creating “worlds of adventure, conflict, and companionship that inspire you to become the hero of your story”. They want the release of the game to be a “seminal moment” and to get a similar reception to Mass Effect Legendary Edition. While more information is promised “in the future”, McKay didn’t specify exactly when that will be.
BioWare is also working on the next iteration of Mass Effect. Not much else was mentioned about this game either, although McKay did tease players that if they looked closely at the Mass Effect poster they released on N7 day back in November, there are “at least five surprises, all of which point to an amazing future in the Mass Effect universe”. If you haven’t done so already, now’s the time to pull out the detective hats and see what you can find.
In other news, the recent row over the fate of Days Gone took another turn today after it was revealed the 8 millon sales figure was taken from an estimate based on trophies earned, calculated by a site that’s now defunct, no less. It’s accuracy is very questionable. Bend Studio continued to have bad luck when it turned out their pitches for an open-world Resistance game and a Syphon Filter reboot were both turned down too.
