DNF Duel Release Date Announced
Nexon has announced that DNF Duel, a 2.5D action fighting game based on the Dungeon and Fighter franchise, will release on June 28th for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game has been developed by Arc System Works in collaboration with Neople and Eighting.
DNF Duel release follows extensive beta testing
DNF Duel underwent closed and open beta tests ahead of its release date announcement. However, it’s likely to go through another beta or two before the full release. It was previously confirmed that the game will have a base roster of ten fighters at launch, but a new trailer teases new characters. Without further ado, watch the video below.
Nexon promised that DNF Duel will pack 16 years of the franchise’s lore into the game by integrating it with story and character development. Players have also been promised smooth online play with exclusive servers. An official overview reads:
DNF Duel flawlessly reinterprets the iconic classes from the classic Dungeon and Fighter RPG. Whether it’s the lightning-fast and flashy gunshots of the sly Ranger or the uninhibited raw power of the frenzied Berserker, each character’s iconic traits have been heightened and reworked. DNF Duel takes the fighting game genre to a whole new level with its unique combat system and tactics. Outsmart, outplay, or downright beat up your opponents and become the master of the Ultimate Will!
Nexon hasn’t said whether DNF Duel will receive a demo or not. We have also yet to receive information about preorder bonuses and special editions, if any. We’ll update our readers when we hear more.
In other news, PSN has been shooting out emails congratulating users for unlocking Gran Turismo 7’s platinum even if they’ve never played the game, and PaRappa the Rapper has received some much-deserved attention by the National Museum of Play.
