Abandoned PS5 Dev Spoke to Konami
Abandoned PS5 creator Hasan Kahraman, who leads BLUE BOX Game Studios, has said that he reached out to Konami after the Silent Hill conspiracy made rounds and things “got out of hand.” Speaking to Colin Moriarty on the latest episode of the Sacred Symbols podcast, Kahraman revealed that as an amateur developer, he didn’t expect things to blow out of proportion. And what started as a fun conspiracy theory ended up backfiring and stressing the development team out.
When will we see Abandoned PS5?
Bad news first: Abandoned has been delayed yet again. The good news? We might actually see some work-in-progress soon. BLUE BOX held a poll on Twitter over the weekend, asking followers if they want to see some development footage of the prologue. “Just to be clear, we’ll show off gameplay but with some limits,” the studio wrote. “Just don’t expect a full representation!”
Your votes really helps us alot! Just to be clear, we’ll show off gameplay but with some limits. We’ll mention these later. Just don’t expect a full representation! Its still in development and not ready, therefore the Prologue got delayed. Keep that in mind.

So what did Konami have to say when Kahraman reached out? Apparently, nothing. “I reached out to Konami saying ‘You know what, it was never my intention’ and they were really cool,” Kahraman told Moriarty. “I reached out to them because I was stressed out because people thought it was Silent Hill. It got so out of hand… you’re a small developer, you’ve never had a big audience, you’re inexperienced.” Kahraman claims that Sony’s also “pretty cool” about the whole thing and is giving him the freedom to create.
In other news, Sony’s working with 200+ partners on the new PS Plus library, and Elden Ring publisher wants to collaborate with another fantasy author.
